You should watch the movie Pirates of Silicon Valley, about steve jobs and bill gates early work.
How they achieved success was not by such exagerated merit (mainly gates), but by stealing ideas from famous brands like Xerox, who invented the mouse and graphic interface…

The real point is: those guys were in their EARLY 20s and already industry moguls back in the day, while I had just finished my college and military service and would begin a career that would be radically changed by the inventions brought on by Apple and Microsoft. I know it is naive of me to say it but I am mesmerized by how brilliant that “nerdy” generation was, no matter what they did and how they did it.

How is Steve Jobs “cool”? He has a lisp, a part in his hair and looks socially akward. At least Gates could speak with some conviction, even back then.
That said, I most certainly would not kick Steve Jobs out of bed.

Not that it matters given that both Steve and Bill made their fortunes on the work done by the naieve Xerox guys.
Both of them are underhanded, as evil as the so-called “IBM ENEMY” that Jobs kept talking about early on. Actually, they are even more evil.
